PT Golden Eagle Energy Tbk (“SMMT”) is an integrated holding company of several coal mining businesses in South Sumatra and Kalimantan. Founded in 1980 under the name of PT The Green Pub which first engaged in food and entertainment industry, SMMT went through several names from PT Setiamandiri Mitratama in 1996, PT Eatertainment International Tbk in 2004, before finally renamed as PT Golden Eagle Energy Tbk in 2012 as it transformed its business into mining industry. SMMT began listing its shares on Surabaya Stock Exchange in 2000.

SMMT started its coal mining businesses through the acquisition of two subsidiaries, PT Internasional Prima Coal (“IPC”), the owner of coal mining concession in East Kalimantan, and PT Triaryani (“Triaryani”), the owner of coal mining concession in South Sumatra. Since then, SMMT has expanded its operation in Kalimantan by acquiring an integrated coal concession and its supporting infrastructure in South Kalimantan and initiated mining services to support its operations in Sumatra through its subsidiary, PT Nagamas Makmur Jaya.

SMMT has over 730 million tons of coal deposits from its assets in Kalimantan and Sumatra. With current potential capacity to reach 2.5 million tons per year, prospective developments are still vastly promising.
