As part of our commitment to clean development, PT. Eagle High Plantations Tbk. Has taken the initiatives to utilize the waste by capturing methane gas from effluent ponds for use as fuel for electricity generation. This method is environmentally friendly and helps to reduce green house gas emission.

Biogas Power Plant (PLTBG) generates electricity from biogas containing primarily of methane and carbon dioxide produced by anaerobic digestion of palm oil mill effluent (POME).

Electricity produced from POME biogas will help to reduce fossil consumption required to generate electricity.

Based on our commitment to clean development, in June 2015, PT. Suryabumi Tunggal Perkasa have signed a Build Operation Transfer (BOT) agreement with PT. Nagata Bio Energy (Sewatama) to build an electric power plant utilizing biogas from POME in Batubulan mill.
